No Scottish golf tour would be complete without a crack at the world famous Old Course and you will be entered into the ballot for every available day of your tour (submitted 48hrs in advance) the Old Course still upholds the tradition of a St Andrews ballot (lottery) drawn two days ahead of play (except for Sundays and tournament days).
This enables golfers who are in the area to still have the opportunity to play the Old Course during their visit.
This reflects the public spirit of St Andrews Links and its commitment to staying as open and accessible o all golf lovers.

For golfers who have not managed to secure an Old Course tee time in advance, there is still an option to apply for one via the Daily Ballot system. The St Andrews Old Course Ballot is drawn two days ahead of play with the exception of Friday as there is no play on the Old Course on Sundays. For example, if you wish to enter the ballot for a tee time on Wednesday, you would apply on the Monday. If you wish to enter the ballot for a tee time on a Monday, you would apply on a Saturday.
